History
Eindhoven Student Football Association Pusphaira ([poesfajra]) is one of the largest student sports associations of the Student Sports Center of Eindhoven University of Technology. The association was founded in 1965. The name Pusphaira comes from ancient Greek; pus means foot and spheres means ball.

The teams
Pusphaira plays football at different levels: there is the selection (P1 and P2) for those who give their lives for the sporting achievements of the association, and there are lower teams, who mainly play football with fun. There are also two women’s teams of different levels.

Matches and Sundays
The competition starts in early September and ends in April or May. The cup competitions will start in August. The competition matches are played on Sundays. Home games are played at Sportpark de Hondsheuvel. All teams play competition under the auspices of the KNVB. The canteen stays open until 7pm on Sundays, by the end of the evening the disco ball is often lit and many drinking games are played. The bar committee has control over the music.
It is not uncommon that a group of members eat together and end up in the city on a Sunday evening.

Trainings
In addition to (competition) matches, training is given. For this season’s training times, please have a look at this page.
After the (Thursday evening) training members drink a beer together. The Pusphaira-fun-train starts in the Sports Center and often ends in the early hours in the bars at Stratumseind.
Do you still play at your old club or are you still at home during the weekend? You can also register as a training member!

For and by students
In addition to training and competitions, many activities are organized by the committees and the board (such as an annual pub crawl, sinterkerst, New Year’s tournament, season closing, the IT-tournament, 5×5 tournament and much more). These activities take place during the week as well as at the weekend. We are an informal, fun association for and by students! The referees, bar staff, clubevenings, the website, … we arrange everything ourselves. The board changes every year and consists of (approximately) 5 members. Would you like to do a committee?
