Maandag 7 oktober en Woensdag 16 oktober was het dan eindelijk zover: de wissel-ALV en de CoBo!

Allereerst de ALV. De hoge opkomst was naast de aan de gezelligheid ook te merken aan de tijdsduur van de ALV. De nodige aanmerkingen en vragen over de notulen van de laatste ALV vlogen door de lucht. Wat had het 54e bestuur nou eindelijk gedaan? Nadat het 54e bestuur rond 1 uur eindelijk afscheid kon nemen van hun functies, was het de beurt aan het 55e bestuur om hunzelf te presenteren. Het beleidsplan en de begroting gingen er redelijk vlot doorheen; de helft van de leden was immers al naar huis. Bij de vragenronde opende de leden nog een laatste keer het vuur. De prijs voor beste vraag van de ALV ging naar James, die wilde graag weten hoeveel bestuurspuntjes iedereen dacht te halen. Marloes en Tijn gingen de strijd vol aan. Respectievelijk willen zij 55 en 110 bestuurspunten binnenslepen. Aim for the stars, zullen we dan maar zeggen.

Met zo’n hoge verwachting van jezelf, kun je maar beter meteen aan de gang gaan. Dat moet Tijn gedacht hebben. Dit geeft ons een mooi bruggetje naar de constitutieborrel.

De CoBo was een flink succes. Althans, tot 11 uur kunnen wij, het bestuur, dat nog navertellen. We willen jullie bedanken voor alle cadeau’s en felicitaties. De shots werden minder goed ontvangen: het kan zijn dat velen van jullie voor een onvoltallig bestuur hebben gerecipieerd. Waar Matthijs gebrast werd door de portier, Marloes en Femke verstandige huisgenootjes hadden die hun naar huis brachten, Bart zijn maag naast shots nog met döner vulde, was er een bestuurslid die heel de avond voor jullie klaar stond, Tijn. Deze winnaar heeft de CoBo officieel uitgespeeld, en had daarna nog genoeg energie over om een potje te gaan poolen bij je thuis. Één iemand was uitgenodigd, wie, toevallig of niet, een bestuurslid van een andere vereniging was: de eerste bestuurspunten waren al binnen.

Het 55e bestuur wilt alle leden bedanken voor de mooie activiteiten, en hoopt jullie snel weer te zien op de volgende activiteit!

This week P4 played home versus Woenselse Boys. Upon arrival at the pitch the sun was shining brightly, promising a good day for a match. We started the warm up well before the opponent showed up. It was clear we were more determined to win. As the first half began we had played with the sun in our backs hoping it would give the early advantage we were hoping for. The match started of hot with a lot of ball possession and scoring opportunities. The most notable is a 1 on 1 with the keeper which Gido just missed. In spite of all our early plays Woenselse Boys managed to counterattack with a long ball over the midfield. Their high pace caught the defence of guard and they scored the first goal. This lead was kept into the half time break.
As we switched sides and the sun was now in our faces we had a monumental task ahead of us. The great passes we had in the first half continued and gave several more chances. Finally, David managed to score the equalizer after a beautiful passing play which left the defence of Woenselse Boys scratching their heads. After this the match became much more exciting as both sides started to increase the pressure. Woenselse Boys kept trying with long balls over the midfield. Luckily, Kevin had a great game keeping most of the shot out of the net. Sadly they managed another counterattack in which they scored. We managed to keep our cool and kept on playing. We kept having chances and could feel the equalizer coming. Then suddenly David had the ball at the 16 line and an opportunity to shoot. The ball went into the top left corner leaving their keeper with no chance of saving it. Both teams fought really hard to score another goal. Just before the end of the match we got a free kick from about 25 meters away. Abe was behind the ball and narrowly missed the goal by 10 meters. Soon after the match was concluded with 2-2 as the final score.
